IMPORTANT UPDATE: Site rebrand incoming

Yes, you read that right – I’m rebranding

Here’s the thing: I’ve been a hobbyist musician long enough to have gained a lot of experience along the way. I’ve done everything solo thus far, from songwriting and recording to mixing and mastering, and I’ve accumulated some knowledge about the subjects mentioned, along with a music degree. But there’s still so much I want to do on that front – so much experience I want to amass, so many genres I want to tackle producing, so many roles I want to fulfill. With that in mind, I’ve decided to shift the site’s focus entirely on my musical works.

The rebranding effort has already begun, with me having started reworking the pages yesterday. All of my solo projects – that is, The Santtu Pesonen Project, MFG38 and Hekkräiser – will have their own pages with details, a brief biography and the discography of each project. This will also be the case for any bands I may or may not establish and/or join in the future (because playing in a band is definitely a thing I want to start doing).

What this’ll mean for the existing pages is that they’ll be removed completely once the rebranding is complete. Since the focus of the site will shift entirely to promoting myself as a musician, having the pages for my Doom maps, games and written works around would only destroy that focus. That said, I might make another website and migrate those pages over there once I finish rebranding this site.

I’m also planning to register another domain for this site that’ll better reflect its purpose following the rebranding. But I’ll keep the existing domain around as a “redirect” URL of sorts.

That’s that for today’s update. Hope you’re as excited as I am!
